ANTA PG7 3 for Wide Feet: Roomy Everyday Trainer or Fit Gamble?
The ANTA PG7 3 offers a different reason to investigate Chinese running shoes: everyday cushioning and upper room rather than a fast super-trainer ride. For wide feet, its encouraging review signals make it worth trying, but do not establish a verified 2E or 4E fit.
This research guide combines current ANTA product pages with Frynam’s third-generation PG7 review. We have not performed a hands-on WideFit wear test or measured its internal width.
First, confirm which PG7 you are buying
PG7 is a family. ANTA’s US collection lists PG7, PG7 3, and PG7 City separately. The men’s PG7 3 page is the reference for the generation discussed here. Do not transfer a third-generation review to every product with PG7 in its name.

What Frynam reports
Frynam’s PG7 third-generation review is useful because it separates fit from ride. These observations describe his pair and foot, not a standardized width test.
| Segment | Reviewer observation | Buying implication |
|---|---|---|
| 0:55-1:28 | His usual US 8 / EU 41 leaves room around the forefoot and instep | Encouraging for some broader or higher-volume feet; not a universal size conversion. |
| 1:46 | The upper has some give | Check pressure points as well as how soft the material feels. |
| 2:59 | Comfortable upper coverage can feel warm | Space and ventilation are separate decisions. |
| 4:06 | Broad outsole contact feels settled at low pace | More relevant to easy use than fast-shoe agility. |
| 5:38 onward | Comfort-focused running and walking, with limited propulsion | Treat it as an everyday candidate rather than a tempo-shoe replacement. |
Is it actually wide?
A roomy-feeling upper, a broad sole, and an official width grade are different things. We do not have a measured internal-width comparison or a verified 2E/4E option for PG7 3. Check the current product variant rather than treating the review as proof of a width designation.
If you already require 2E or 4E, start with known wide-width options before taking an import risk. If standard-width trainers normally fit and you want a little more forefoot or instep room, PG7 3 is a more plausible experiment.
For pressure under the laces, compare instep volume. For pressure above the toe tips, inspect toe-box depth separately.
How to choose a size
- Measure both feet standing, with your running socks.
- Use the longer measured foot in the exact product’s recommended foot-length chart.
- Read the US, EU, and CM/CN labels attached to that row.
- Check whether the seller uses CM to mean foot length, a shoe label, or insole length.
- Compare heel hold before keeping a larger size for width.
Frynam’s US 8 / EU 41 is a reference for his pair. It is not an instruction to order EU 41 whenever you wear another brand’s US 8. Do not size down solely because his pair felt roomy.
See Chinese running shoe CM sizing for label differences and the questions to ask when a seller chart is unclear.
PG7 3 vs Xiaonian vs Mega3 Pro
| Model | Reason to investigate | Main fit uncertainty |
|---|---|---|
| ANTA PG7 3 | Everyday comfort and walking; promising instep/forefoot review | Limited independent width evidence and several similarly named versions |
| Dynafish Xiaonian | A daily/steady super-trainer experiment | Seller chart and single-width midfoot fit |
| 361 Mega3 Pro | A lighter, livelier training direction in multiple reviews | Midfoot shape and stability that depend on the runner and pace |
This is a comparison of intended use and published observations, not a measured head-to-head test. Pick the training role first, then decide whether the fit evidence is strong enough for your foot.
Before paying
Confirm PG7 3 in the model name, check the chart for the selected men’s or women’s range, and compare final cost with a familiar wide-width trainer. A Chinese import is not automatically cheaper once shipping and returns are included.
For the broader shortlist, use Chinese running shoes for wide feet and best Chinese super trainers. PG7 3 belongs in the everyday-comfort discussion, rather than a blanket ranking of the fastest shoes.
