Privacy, Cookies & Affiliate Disclosure

We want WideFit Running to be useful and trustworthy, so here’s a plain-English account of how the site works behind the scenes, what gets measured, and how it pays for itself. No jargon, no surprises.

Affiliate disclosure

WideFit Running takes part in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates Program. When you click a “Check price” button and go on to buy something, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

These commissions keep the site running, but they don’t change what we recommend. Our picks are based on fit and width availability, not on which retailer pays the most. Prices and width options change often, so always confirm the details on the retailer’s own page before you buy.

Analytics and cookies

To understand which guides are helpful and where the site can be clearer, we use two privacy-minded tools:

• Cloudflare Web Analytics — a cookieless, aggregate measure of page views and traffic. It does not track you across other sites and does not build an advertising profile of you.
• Microsoft Clarity — helps us see how pages are used so we can fix confusing layouts. Clarity may record anonymized session activity (such as clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, reading-depth events, and outbound affiliate-button clicks) and uses cookies to do so. Recordings and events are aggregated and used only to improve the site; we don’t use them to identify individual visitors.

If you’d rather not be included in session recordings, you can browse with your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting enabled, use a content blocker, or decline cookies in your browser settings. The site’s guides remain fully readable either way.

Third-party links

Buttons and links that lead to Amazon or other retailers take you to sites with their own privacy policies and cookies. Once you leave WideFit Running, those sites — not us — govern how your data is handled.
